Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.

  This is our second stay at Palm Island this summer and as always we had a great time! This unit was perfect for our family. The kitchen was very well stocked (much better than some other units we've stayed in) and the beds were very comfortable. We spent most of our time in the pool or driving around in the golf cart this time, but we enjoyed the pretty views of the beach from everywhere we went. We will definitely be back to Palm Island and will remember this unit specifically for our next stay!

  The last time we stayed at Palm Island Resort was in 1991. We loved it, but never had the chance to return until now. Palm Island Resort has kicked it up a notch while we were away! What we liked: no cars, no noise, no "commercialization" (high rise condos, parasailing, jet skis and the like). We liked the landscaping, privacy, choice of amenities: kayaks, bikes, tennis, pool. We liked the friendliness of the staff, grounds people, ferry operator and fellow guests. We liked that the unit came with lush bed linens and towels (no thin, scratchy towels!). We also appreciated a starter supply of the essentials: coffee and toilet paper. The unit was very nicely furnished and had nice dish wear in the kitchen; nothing was chintzy. What we disliked: can't think of a single thing! We hope to return next way will we stay away 27 years LOL.

  This washer 15th vacation at Palm Island Resort. Our 2 bedroom Villa # 1211 was a disappointment mainly because the seawall prevented coming down the stairs to the beach. Plus it had no WIFI connection. We spend all our time on the beach rarely use the pools. WE stopped at office and they immediately asked what would help. Susanne showed us three other Beach Villas and we chose# 2011. This was great. Palm Island Resort is our favorite Beach vacation. So much so we plan to bring our family of 14 to the Resort in 2018 end of January. to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.

The storm had damaged some of the island but the crew had it cleaned up and drained as much as they could to make this a terrific place for a sunset wedding.   Going back to the early 1990s, We have stayed at Palm Island several times and have never been disappointed. THe condos are alway superb and well keep. THe store and Rum Bay are alway helpful and good food. In the early years, when our sons were younger, the childrens program was great. They still talk about the turtles and Fla. panther. We still laugh about the July 4th party where I and my younger son did the conga line and limbo dance. I highly recommend Palm Island for it quality, location,safety, and experience.   Palm Island is heaven! We return to the same unit year after year; it's been beautifully renovated and feels like home. I would recommend asking if your unit has been updated before booking. The resort is a true paradise, quiet, secluded, no cars--the best kind of beach getaway. We bring our bikes to get around. We saw a manatee and dolphins right at the beach! Our kids love Palm Island--we have gone once a year for over ten years and plan to continue to go every year we can!

  We've seen Redbeard at Tradewinds for 8 years then he told us about Palm Island last summer.We were looking for more privacy and a lower key vacation with less people. From my initial contact to check out they delivered! We even cancelled a side trip and stayed there. Bobbie in the registration building is incredible. We WILL be back...soon!!!

  Palm Island is our favorite vacation spot in FL. We have been there every year for about 9 years. We love the seclusion, the beach, the quiet. We have found a particular unit that we love to stay in (no, I'm not sharing) that has been beautifully remodeled; we have found that some of the units are badly in need of upgrades; however, they are all clean. Palm Island has many special memories for us!
