Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.

  My family and I visit Palm Island Resort almost every year and have stayed in several different villa units. This one is definitely one of our top 3. The owners have done a nice job renovating most of the villa. It's very comfortable and clean with beautiful finishes and details in a coastal farmhouse type feel. The bathrooms are still in need of some updating but they are still in clean condition. We wished that the dining room table sat 6 instead of 4, as we hosted a few dinners with our other family members that were staying in a different villa. There were 5 dining chairs but no way did 5 fit around that small round table. It looked like the table would extend larger to an oval with a leaf attachment but we couldn't find it. For us personally, we feel the only downside to this villa is it's location on the top floor of the building only because it doesn't have a stairway exiting the screenroom like the lower level villa units do. We bring a big wheeled beach cart, wheeled cooler and a large, very heavy paddleboard with us and trying to get those down the front winding stairway is really difficult. We also like the units with the back screenroom stairway for quicker access to the beach instead of always going out the front door. But for families that don't have bulky beach items, they will most likely love this villa and the lack of stairs out the back won't be a downside at all. One other nice thing to note is that there's a ramped wood beach access right by this particular building unit which did make it easier to lug all of our heavy beach gear to the beach. Some of the beach accesses near the other buildings have stairs, not ramps. Also good to note is that this villa's building is very close (almost across the street) to Rum Bay Restaurant and Coconuts making it very convenient! Overall this villa unit is really comfortable and one of the best 2 bedroom units at the resort.

  This is a beautifully updated unit, among the nicest I've stayed in my 25+ years of coming to Palm Island. Great location conveniently located to Rum Bay/Coconuts.
  However, it was not ideal for a family with young children--breakables, none of the beach equipment/puzzles/games so many other units offer, and the downstairs owners complained to us one afternoon that our toddlers' footsteps were too loud.

  Pine Island is a wonderful place to vacation. The staff went above and beyond any place we have ever stayed. The restaurant food was amazing. We did learn a few things that we can pass on for others going to the island. The golf carts get pretty damp so bring something to cover them as night falls so you wont sit on a wet seat. My wife got bitten by sand fleas pretty bad, so if you are going to the beach, be prepared. Overall great experience, very clean, very relaxing.

  I've been to Palm Island about 8 times. Everything's great except for this. No internet access in the unit. I suggest owners be required to install a router, or if not, the website and reservation staff make it very clear which units do and do not have routers. I suspect that would solve the problem, one way or the other. This may well determine if I stay with you next winter.

  We were quite surprised at how well the property had been cleaned up after the recent tropical storm (Debby). The Island Utility Company had a water break which briefly shut water service down, but the staff immediately provided plentiful bottled water and the break was fixed. We love the Island life and will return again and again. The Restaurant is nice and very convenient.

  As always, we had a great time at the Palm Island Resort. Our family has vacationed at the resort four different times. We LOVE the access to the Gulf, the swimming pool, the updated barbecue area, and the wildlife. We love walking and bicycling around the resort as well as the laid-back approach on the island.
  
  The unit we stayed in was comfortable and clean, but was not the unit we originally requested. Compared to other units, it needed some TLC...specifically more mordern updates, paint and new patio/lanai furniture (one of our children sat in a chair, and fell through because the straps were broken).
  
  The staff was friendly and helpful, as always.
  
  We would encourage anyone to choose Palm Island as their next vacation destination!

  We received a hard survey card too and that will be sent in. We have stayed and made Palm Island our family vacation for the past 5 years and plan on doing so in the future. Our only negative comment would be on the fairy passes issued. We stayed for 7 days and were only allowed 4 trip passes. In a brochure I obtained for some friends, it stated 1 pass allowed for the fairy per stay. I would hope this is corrected for our next visit and will inquire upon checking in next year to the fairy passes. To leave you on a positive note, we had some elderly guest visit us on 2 days. First Dan the belle hop provided them a ride to our villa. When it was time to leave at night, the night security officers (one named Rocco) were very helpful with taking them to the parking lot safely.   I had to rate the property's general condition low because the one TV in our 2 bedroom condo did not work and the fan in the living room did not work. Everything else was perfect.

• Palm Island Resort was perfect get a way place for our family .All our family voted go back to Palm Island next holiday, which 5 weeks from now. I might make reservation now for better Unit.

  Palm Island is a great place to get away from it all. The location makes you feel as though you are on a tropical island without having to use your passport. Fun, safe, beautiful and relaxing. Our family has made this a must visit place every summer.
