Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.

  My family comes to Palm Island every year and we enjoyed our stay. The villa is beautiful with amazing views.
  
  However, I cannot give 5 stars for the property management because I was charged twice for my stay and no one returned my phone calls. I was very disappointed and I had to contact my bank about the issue. Ultimately, I was my account was credited a week later after calling again, but now I am still waiting for my bank to sort out the transaction.

  Rental unit was very nice. Have already reserved for next year. Did not appreciate being the hastled by some security officer for riding our golf cart after 9pm. He was driving recklessly and scaring people by driving in front of them and telling them to stop and interegating them. This was totally not necessary. My wife and I are in our 60's and don't need that. Property was very well kept up and cleaner than in the past few years. Not happy that we stayed in a 3 bedroom place and I was charged on the ferry for a 3rd vehicle. Our place slept 8 comfortably w 4 beds and 3 baths, this needs to be reevaluated.

  The Villa, grounds, beaches, pool and all the staff were great. Especially Dan & Melissa. The only disappointment was RumBay Restaurant. It was filthy, there was food and used napkins on the tables and floor. All of our food was horrible. It was getting bad last two years now it has bottomed out. It definitely needs to be updated and cleaned. The menu and food need a complete overhaul. I was hoping not to have to cook but we could not go there again. The reviews would be all 5 star, but for the restaurant.

  It was as good as I had hoped. Friday was great...We had the beach up by Lands End 36 and the pool to ourselves. By Saturday and Sunday the young families arrived and the parents allowed their children to go crazy. So much for your pool rules. Here's a suggestion, if you have no intention of enforcing Palm Island rules which I assume are in place to give all the guests an opportunity to enjoy their stay, remove the signs and save money by releasing the so called Security Patrol people who. Actually do nothing more than ride across the island wearing down the batteries in their carts.

  A Tropical Depression/Hurricane could not ruin our final stay of the year 9-1-16 to 9-6-16. All of the Palm Island staff were fantastic and upbeat about the situation during the first 48 hours of our stay. Even offering credit for the stay towards a later trip had we decided to leave due to the weather. We stayed and were rewarded with the final 3 days of the best weather of the year. During the entire stay even through the wind and rain of the first 48 hours, all of the people who work to make Palm Island a 5 star vacation resort were right there doing it all as if it was just another day in paradise.

  The only unpleasant issue in an otherwise perfect stay concerns my son's later arrival. Peggy and I arrived Wednesday and our two sons and granddaughter were due to arrive Friday late day. We asked what was the procedure with the Ferry since the cottage we were staying in allowed for two cars on the Island. We were told to just let the front desk know when we arrived and their name would be added to the list of guest arrivals for Friday. When we checked in, Peggy told Faith who then wrote the name down on a piece of paper to add to the Friday guest list. Faith did not follow thru and as a result the name was not on the guest list for the Ferry men. The situation became tense when the Ferry man was not going to let my son pull his car off the Ferry until he resolved this somehow or paid like $65 or so. Faith needs to follow thru with important situations like we had.

  We have been going to Palm Island for 25 years. We love the shells, white sand and quiet island. Many of the rental units need updating, however the Lands End Cottage we were in tis year was wonderful. We plan to request it again. Palm Island is a wonderful place for a family vacation, safe enough for older kids to exlpor on their own and lots to do with younger kids too. We LOVE Red Beard.

  Our trip was one that would be with us in our memories forever. We (the bridal party) planned this trip for our best friends pre wedding bachelor/bachelorette party.   My husband and I have been frequent visitors to Palm Island over the years --it's a 2 hour drive from our home, and it feels like another world. I have always been a "beach" person, but my husband is more a "mountain" guy -- but he loves Palm Island as much as I do. I love to walk the beach looking for sharks' teeth, and he enjoys the time to read without distractions! I've had several "girls" trips, too -- most recently the 3 bedroom cottage. Lots of fun and plenty of space. AAA rates make it reasonably affordable, though not cheap! It's a small price to pay for R&R and total relaxation, though. There is not a lot of "action" on the beach (i.e., it's not Daytona Beach, spring break fashion), but for longer stays, there are plenty of nearby off-island excursions. We've never wanted to leave once we arrive, though! Can't wait to go back. Life is good !!!
