Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.
A full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters.
Be sure to catch a Pirate Show with the resort’s own Red Beard the Pirate.

  I have vacationed on Palm Island since 1990. Always love my stay and time on the beach. I live in Sarasota so it’s not far but it feels like I’m a thousand miles away on my own private island! This time I brought my two cousins with me, one from Ohio the other from Tennessee. They both loved it! The beautiful beach, lots of shells and not crowded at all! They will be back and so will I!

  Our rental was very clean and accommodating. We appreciated the washer and dryer because even though towels were available, we were there for 4 nights. Loved the updated, more modern decor as well, that always gives a “resort” feel. We purchased a golf cart to be able to visit family at other parts of the island, it needed some TLC mechanically. Also, resort restaurant could use an update (and fresher menu).

  My husband was able to relax and that says a lot. You feel like you are a million miles from home but we were just an hour from St. Pete. The golf carts with sandy feet are a nice reminder to slow down and enjoy. Clean rooms, nice pools, fun trails, amenities, and smiling friendly staff.

  We did have a good time as usual but when we arrived we were informed by the neighbor that they were replacing the carpet the next day in his unit was very loud but I understand that it Hass to be done at some times the following morning we were told we would have no water at 8:30 AM with a later check out this did prevent us from making breakfast due to we would not have water to clean up the dishes so we opted for showers instead the people were lovely the weather was beautiful and the food wasgreat.

  We are no strangers to Palm Island. We have stayed several times at the resort and enjoy it every time! We have stayed in this unit previously, but new owners have purchased it and have done very nice upgrades! Appreciated seeing the stainless steel appliances and the new patio furniture Is super comfy and a perfect spot to grab a good book and watch the beautiful gulf views! As always, the staff at Palm Island Resort is too notch and super friendly.

  refrigerator ice maker was broken and made a grinding noise...icemaker was set to spill ice cubes all over the freezer...bag of ice in freezer indicated this has been a problem for a while... fan to heater makes a grinding noise at night

  Overall the unit we rented was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Unit is in great location, near pool and short walk to restaurant and other amenities. Some minor things need attention(eg., large burner on stove didn’t work, kitchen appliances need update). Would not hesitate to book again.
