Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
Tennis and pickleball courts available for play and always complimentary.
Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.

  This was our first trip to the island. We were there for a wedding. The service, staff, beaches, and units were fantastic! I would highly recommend a stay here. Just be aware that some areas are no drive (golf carts are needed), and the ferry can get expensive if you leave the island often. Thank you Palm Island Resort for a great time!

  Enjoyed the condo and its closeness to the beach and main area. Clean, warm accommodations. Only complaint was the television package as there were only local channels and shopping channels. Pool and grills in close proximity. The island took a hit from the hurricane, but looks to be getting close to full recovery. Cudos to the staff for being flexible and helpful.Look forward to next year for another lazy summer break.

  We visit Palm Island with our extended family each year. I truly enjoy the peaceful quiet beach and being able to relax. The resort is still in process of rebuilding after the hurricane but our unit was in good shape and newly decorated. Our only complaint is that we had originally reserved a 1st level unit but were moved to a 2nd fl. unit. If our entire party had come, this would not have been acceptable due to mobility. The restaurant was still going thru some new staff issues but the waitress was on it and took care of us. We plan to be back next year.

  The villa was nice as most of these older gulf view units are. Service and amenities were excellent as usual. The only slight criticism of this unit was the lack of tv services ( I did not come here for tv but being able to catch a playoff game would have been a reasonable expectation). Many useless channels and a couple of local tv stations were all that was available.

  We flew into the Keys to fish. The weather was bad so we headed towards the Sarasota/Ft Meyers area. We have been looking for a place in Florida and viewed hundreds of homes. I came across the Palm Island area by accident. So we decided to drive to the island & take a peek. Our overnight stay lasted a week!! And to top that off we found a house that we are working on purchasing!! Love the unexpected!!

  Everything was wonderful except the 3722 unit. I can live with outdated and even though carpet is not hygienic, I can do with that. BUT it was dirty. Hair incl. pubic hair in bathroom, kitchen items, mugs, cutlery, stove...dirty. I had to wash everything we used. A gourmet kitchen with everything I need was advertised. The stiff in the kitchen was dirty, old and barely enough of. ONE cereal bowl, multiple cracked coffee mugs and a mismatch of 4 forks. I had bites every day when being in the unit. It just does not meet the description and marketing of the place. Everything else was wonderful.

  Our PI vacation was excellent! The weather, beach, surf, pool, Rum Bay, golf cart, Coconuts, Gift Shop, and the location of our condo were all fantastic. However, I should say that the villa needed a bit more renovation. The sink faucet in the master bath leaked all over the countertop, and the toilet seat was super small. The first bedroom had a more updated bathroom. Everything else worked fine, though some of the kitchen cabinets had evidence of leak damage. Also, we had to watch the dishwasher to make sure it didn't pop open mid-cycle. Overall, we were happy since we able rent a villa quickly. We'll pay more attention to the descriptions next time.

  Had a wonderful time and would like to return. Beautiful location! Bikes were fun, golf carts were fun and the water gorgeous.
  
  The only disappointment was the Rehearsal Dinner Party held Friday night. The food was very poor, presentation was very sad. A GREAT deal of money was spent on this event and the result was nowhere close to the amount charged.

  Overall, we loved Palm Island. Everyone was super friendly and always accommodating. The location is second-to-none and the beach really nice and not crowded at all. Also, we were there in an "off" week, which made for that much more of a quiet, yet really fun vacation. The only blemish would be that the condo we rented was very, very dated and had a huge stain(about 18" diameter) on the carpet in one of the bedrooms. We would return, but would insist on updated accommodation / condo.

  Thank you for a wonderful week on Palm Island. The resort is gorgeous and we were so impressed by way the natural heritage of the island is protected. The beach villa we stayed in was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the golf cart! The rental management team were delightful - lovely Marty, Maryanne and Karen! - and very helpful. The highlight of our week was the kayaking with Kris, organised through the resort. We saw manatees and dolphins and kayaked trough a mangrove tunnel to a hidden lake. Unforgettable.

  This resort is located on an "island" (2 minute ferry ride 50 yards across water) which started out as a novelty & turned into a hassle. To take the ferry with your car is $55 (although the resort gives 2 complementary rides over and stops at 10pm). There is very little light pollution so the sky is clear and beautiful. My bf and I stayed in a villa and it was amazing, fully stocked with glasses/plates/bowls, margarita maker, board games and a splash of home. It was amazing and very serene and the staff was super friendly. It was also very affordable, with very cheap kayak rentals (although the golf carts were not cheap 50/day) and a great restaurant on the island. Overall though I definitely hope we can vacation here again.
