Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.

  We had an amazing time at Palm Island Resort. The condo was perfect for our family and the view was incredible. We loved the privacy and natural beauty of the beach.   We spent two wonderful weeks in this unit. We've been coming to Palm Island Resort for over 30 years and we've stayed in this unit at least 3 times, so overall we love our experience and all the beach & pool time with family, the golf cart rides, Rum Bay, etc. The size of the unit and the number of beds make it nice so we can bring family and friends and all stay together. The kitchen is well stocked with pots & pans, lots of silverware, nice refrigerator, etc. Overall the unit is great, but is definitely starting to show some wear and tear - bar stools stained and broken, pocket door to master bath broken and non-functional so we had to use the hallway door as a bathroom door, etc. We reported the broken door to maintenance, so hopefully it will be repaired but it wasn't while we were there. We reserved the unit again for next summer. Looking forward to another great vacation with family.

  Our unit in Palm Island Resort was very nice. Furniture looked like it was kept in great shape and plenty of utensils, dishes, etc. I recommend putting a hair dryer and more bath towels in the upstairs bathroom. The unit is situated right at the pool and near the beach. It seems like they had some pools closed though because there were a lot of people at our pool. Also, make sure you get the times for the water taxi to the restaurant. We were told different times from employees and ended up too late to take the water taxi to the restaurant. Overall, all employees were very nice and the unit and resort were great!

  It wasn't what we expected. This was our 5th year visiting and I we were expecting nothing but the same or better like every year. For the first time one of the rooms was dirty, some stuff and the wifi never worked. We have to use our data at all times, the kids has to use our hotspots for their Ipads because there was only one tv in the whole 3 bedrooms. Very disappointed this time.

  Our unit was clean and spacious; and the furniture was comfortable, functional current. The view was amazing from multiple places throughout the condo. The only issue the entire stay was the refrigerator. It must be replaced before our return next year. The maintenance man from Palm Island said we put too much stuff in it and so it could not get cold. Which was somewhat insulting. Finally, a refrigeration service technician came out and gave the true story. Bottom line the refrigerator needs to be replaced with the same size but maybe a better brand.

Our pool was closed which was a bummer We had to use a neighboring pool and over looked an empty hole with a pump running 24/7. We were not told in advance of the pool closure. It would have been nice to be offered a discount or free golf cart but when I asked the desk clerk said no. Too bad.

  We were here for three nights. Great venue for a wedding, intimate size. Recommend renting golf carts as depending upon the location of your lodging could be long walk. It was fun driving around the island with them. Very quiet which was nice. Rental was nice except on third floor, lots of stairs. Lots of space for large group. Beds could have been more comfortable. Loft sleeping not the best, hard to regulate temp up there to be comfortable. Great pool and views. Wonderful shells to be had on the beach walks. Overall, had a great time!

  Overall, the experience was good. Condos were also rented by my two brothers and sister as we had a week long family reunion. Our condo was nice although the comfort of the beds was disappointing. The kitchen and bathrooms were excellent. The pool experience was excellent particularly with the cabana. The six seat golf cart was fun although it ran sluggishly at times. The ocean view was excellent. The capability to get off the island to do other things was appreciated. The tarpon fishing and flat boat fishing were fun. The seven nights for the price of five nights seemed like a good value. Dinner at Rum Bay was good. Check-in was hectic with several families checking in at the same time. I look forward to our next visit.

  We always have a fantastic time at this resort and make a point to go at least once a year. We are never disappointed. The rates have steadily climbed over the years but we continue to go.
  This is a place to go if you want to do NOTHING BUT RELAX and have absolutely no guilt.
  I do have one major complaint. They have recently instituted a new POOL CARD system. You need a card to get into the pool area. I don't understand why this is necessary. You are also required to push a button to get OUT of the pool. This is very awkward if you have your hands full. (The out button is not close to the gate.)The worst part is the fact they you are only given one key card per unit. We had seven adults in our unit and only one card! If someone had taken the card down to the beach, the others could not get into the pool. If your group had gone to the pool and were in the pool, they had to get out of the pool to let you in! Having only one card was quite a nuisance and unacceptable. I actually had to climb over the fence, as a last resort one day. I am 62! and the fence is quite high! Other than this fairly major complaint, we had a wonderful time as usual. One other minor issue... I cannot seem to tell when the rates change. I would think that June would be off-season, but the rates were about the same as when we went in November. I think locals in the off-season should get a bit more of a deal or at least a discount on the golf cart rental. Despite this, we are planning our next visit for this November.

  We had a wonderful experience. Everyone was friendly. The unit was nicely decorated and comfortable. The only suggestion would be to organize the loft area used as a storage and the laundry. Visible eye sores with painting cans and furniture stored. The small area could be a cozy reading area

  We love this unit, the location is perfect and the size is great for our family! The bathroom renovations were lovely, and the kitchen is fabulous! However, the beds were very uncomfortable, and none of us slept so well. As much as we love this unit, we'd think twice about booking it for this reason.

  We've been coming to Palm Island Resort since 1989, and have always enjoyed the off season months. There were a few issues this year such as a water main break causing no water to be available, a broken TV in the main room, and a short power outage. Fortunately, all these issues were resolved quickly and professionally and interferred minimally with our overall positive island experience.

  Overall experience was very good, however constant problems with hot water was an issue. Stayed in a 3 bedroom unit and every shower or bath would trip the electrical breaker. Also use of hair dryer in bathroom would also trip the breaker. Last day of our visit the flat screen tv had sound but no picture.

  We had an amazing time at Palm Island, as usual. It's a fantastic location that really does force you to get on "island time" and enjoy every minute. We had a little mixup when we arrived--the rental we had reserved was not exactly as described when I was making the reservation, but this was easily changed when we checked in.
